On Saturday, September 30, 2017, the annual Words in the Park event was held at Spark Gallery in Sherwood Park during the Alberta Culture Days weekend.
Over 32 authors authors attended. There were several book launches, an author readings corner, art displays, music, Scottish dance, food, interactive sessions, kids’ activities, and an appearance by Choo Choo the clown. The book fair and sale included a free prize draw.

Did you know that we run a review page in the Sherwood Park News twice a month? Here’s yesterday’s page [Sept. 26, 2017], which featured four Strathcona County authors — just in time for this weekend’s Words in the Park event.
