Teasers for 2017

  • Linda J. Pedley of Dream Write Publishing is a Canada 150 Community Leader for Canada’s 150th anniversary this year. Her company has published over 80 quality books in less than 7 years. Linda also co-founded the Writers Foundation of Strathcona County in 2005.
  • Patty Wiseman released An Unlikely Deception (August 2016) and That One Moment (May 2017).
  • Dana Wayne‘s Secrets of the Heart (June, 2016), apart from receiving numerous 5-star reviews and being voted a Top 10 Winter Read, was a finalist for the 2017 Sceal Award (pronounced Sh-kayle) for Contemporary Romance and earned the Best in Texas Award for Contemporary Romance from the Texas Association of Authors.
  • Sally Ann Sims, Dolly Dennis, and Leslie Hodgins are writing new books.
  • Dolly Dennis’ book Loddy-Dah is now on the syllabus for first year students studying Women’s Literature at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut. The interview took place on March 8, 2017. 
  • Leslie Hodgins has a new website to accommodate her businesses: personal training (online fitness videos and tailored workouts), ItWorks! distributorship, and massage therapy (RMT).
  • Mandy Eve-Barnett has released the YA novel Clickety-Click (August 2016) and new cover version of The Rython Kingdom (adult fantasy set in medieval England (April 2017).
  • Jess Steven Hughes’ newest book The Broken Lance will be released in July 2017.
  • Rick Lauber’s book The Successful Caregiver’s Guide cracked the top 100 in sales (in the Home Care category) on Amazon.
  • Richard Weatherly has been taking stunning new photographs. Author Richard Weatherly: Writer, Poet, Gentleman interview by Patty Wiseman.
  • Jody Bronson: artist and musician. (Designer of Beyond the Precipice and Druyan book covers.) Interview or article is coming this summer.

I am a multi-genre author of literary fiction, fantasy, and paranormal, and writer of non-fiction articles on parenting, writing, education, health, and travel. My background encompasses both the sciences and the arts. I teach at a specialized clinic for learning disorders and mentor young authors. In addition to writing and teaching, my passions are weather, Indian food, gardening, and music. I have played eight musical instruments and spent many years immersed in taekwondo and karate. In my youth, I was an avid canoeist. I was born in Prague, Czech Republic, grew up in the Great Lakes region of Ontario, Canada, and moved to Alberta in 1988, where I raised four children.
