Day 20: Today’s Writing Song — Happy Mother’s Day!

We stand in awe, we’ve created life

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I’ll show you everything
With arms wide open
Now everything has changed
I’ll show you love
I’ll show you everything . . .

Creed (American rock band) “lead singer Scott Stapp wrote this song after finding out he was going to be a father” (Songfacts).

This may be an ideal song for Father’s Day, but I think these words apply to mothers, too. The song brings back memories of all the wonderful things I was going to show my kids after they were born. Happy Mother’s Day!

WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN — Creed
