Update On My NaNo Buddy: She’s Done Her Book — On the Same Date I Finished Mine!

Words in the Dark: Post 7

She’s done her book!

nanobuddylesliewritingAt 31, 231 words as of November 13 (9,560 ahead of the average), my newest NaNo buddy, Leslie Hodgins, finished the first draft of her novel (working title How Far She’ll Go).

And, because life is weird, she finished draft one of her book on the same day–Nov. 13–that I finished Beyond the Precipice in 2011, also after more than five years of writing the book.

With over 18,000 words to go to win her 50K badge, Leslie adds, “Now I get to go through and add all the details.”

Final page of my first draft. A story 5 years in the making. I can’t believe it’s done. ~Leslie Hodgins
